PSC investigators undertake a wide variety of tasks to analyse and reconstruct accidents, such as:
- interviewing witnesses
- carrying out site inspections
- preparing plans and photographs illustrating the scene of the accident
- making mathematical calculations of lines of sight, reaction times and braking and stopping distances
- making video recordings to illustrate accidents
- examination of vehicles involved in accident
- prepairing accident reconstruction reports
- checking and analysing reconstruction reports produced by external experts who may be appointed by the court.
